Yukon Hospitality

I leave the Yukon with reluctance, yet I know that I will return. My grateful thanks to the Yukon tourism team who so admirably facilitated this trip: Jim Kemshead and Frank Wilps. They even showed me my namesake’s Gold Rush era roadhouse, an almost forgotten ghost village, resting in this great, big broad land…

As Robert Service’s Spell of the Yukon concludes:

It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,

It's the forests where silence has lease;

It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,

It's the stillness that fills me with peace.
